Grind and seal or polished concrete?
Concrete Polishing – a standard polish would go something like this, grind the floor with metal diamond impregnated tools starting with a coarse grit to achieve the desired stone exposure followed by several passes with increasingly finer grit tooling to remove the scratches before finally grouting and hardening the floor to increase surface hardness. After these processes we can start to polish the floor with to the desired finish. The floor is then finished by applying a penetrating stain guard which offers the floor some protection from everyday use.
Concrete Grind and Seal – is exactly what it says, it consists of a couple of grinds on the floor to achieve the desired level of stone exposure, then a coating is rolled down to seal and finish the floor. This is an inexpensive method of enhancing your floor without going to the cost of a Polished concrete floor the downside is that its not as durable as polished concrete and dependant on foot traffic the coating will have to be reapplied.
We can achieve a seemless floor by grinding and polishing the slab, or for a cheaper option look at a grind & seal.
